Steffi from Lowertown.
I was going to ask about the FM signal, but then I noticed the title of last week's show. I take it that it's an on-going issue. Glad to still be able to listen online.

6:10 PM, July 11th, 2020
Steve Kirkland (host)
Hi Steffi... yes, theissue is ongoing... I'm hoping we'll be back on FM soon, eager to broadcasting beyond the Net... current events have forced CKCU broadcasts increasingly into the digital maelstrom... without old-school "on air" listeners listening in on radios, hi-fis (love dropping that in there) or car steros miss out...

Wally
I tried to tune in on the radio in the car as we went to pick up some ice cream but nothing but dead air, still glad to be able to listen on my phone.

Steve Kirkland (host)
Wally! Listen as/with what you need, happy to have you and anyone else listening tuned in.

Wally, ice cream IS for this weather... part of my family agenda of late, weekly runs out to Carp

6:38 PM, July 11th, 2020
Wally
Where in Carp is the best ice cream? We just went to the Merry Dairy, they make great coconut ice cream when it's available

Hearing the tunes, but can't get them as loud on my bluetooth speaker.

7:09 PM, July 11th, 2020
Steve Kirkland (host)
Hi Jeb. I'm maxed out on my headphones and similarly insufficiently served by the volume

Not a shot at the audio on your show, but lamenting my own crappy bluetooth speakers vs my stereo.

7:26 PM, July 11th, 2020
Steve Kirkland (host)
Jeb, I was speaking of my "in-house" technology

7:28 PM, July 11th, 2020
Steffi in Lowertown
@Jeb ... you should re-pair your bluetooth speaker. That should fix your volume issue.

7:28 PM, July 11th, 2020
Jeb
@the host: both of us. @steffi, not broken, just not even close to the sound of my Celestions.

7:33 PM, July 11th, 2020

Just got back...trying to pick up a portable AC, now that I'm home full-time, but all out everywhere. Anyway, got a wee bit in the car through the online app. Really only a wee bit. I'll have to listen back.

PS: from my 12fl vantage point, looking west, I see a huge storm approaching.

I didn't announce it, but the music to close out is a mash of the opening two tracks on the new album from Norwegian guitarist Hedwig Mollestad.
