Ottawa Bluesfest 2010 is going full-tilt boogie. Norwegian guitarist, Bjorn Berge, brings his 6 and 12-string artistry to the Bluesfest Main Stage Saturday July 17 at 3 pm and then plays the intimate Barney Danson Theatre on Sunday, July 18 at 4 pm - one man, one guitar, and a big, big sound. Bjorn played live in CKCU's studio on today's Guest List, and even improvised a tune for listeners.
Halifax hip hop artists, The Extremities, take the stage at Mavericks tonight. Keyboardist/producer, Fresh Kils, called in to talk about their jazz-driven grooves.
B.C. pop-rock outfit, Kilmore Place, is touring Canada and stops tonight at the Elmdale Tavern. Singer Ryan Bacchus phoned in to talk about Kilmore Place's second EP, 'What Happened?'.
The annual 3-day Stewart Park Festival kicks off Friday in Perth. This free festival features great Canadian acts on the mainstage in the park. You can also purchase a $20 button that gets you into all the afterhour club shows.
