Tonight we present a curious recording from 1971, featuring compositions by Don Cherry and Krzysztof Penderecki. A This is a live recording from the Donaueschingen Festival in Donaueschingen, Germany and is a curious meeting of classical and jazz avant garde. Between tracks from this album, we detour through Globe Unity Orchestra, the inspiration for Penderecki to compose for a jazz orchestra. We'll also hear one of Penderecki's more famous compositions.
