Hello everyone, listening from everywhere. Good to be in the studio again after a while.
This is my new show, it's debut, it's called "The Middle", first episode for the CKCU folks.
A different first to the debut of this show. Usually it's just a general music show that is all over the place.
Showcasing Hans Zimmer's soundtrack to the 2003 movie The Last Samurai, directed by Edward Zwick.
The film is very timely today as it explores themes such as colonialism and tradition. As well as concepts such as Japanese culture and American exceptionalism.
