must you betray me with a kiss?

Today's broadcast is dedicated to one of the most hated men in contemporary Christianity - Judas Iscariot. I recently watched Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), and it unlocked a newfound source of empathy for Judas... which is odd given his stature as the "worst dude of all time™". In today's broadcast, we investigate this strange tendency to write Judas off, while listening to good, thematically appropriate music :) My relationship with Christianity is strange, and I've noticed that I've recently felt safe enough 2 explore the oddness of the great big book known as the 'bible' again. not sure where this might lead -- hopefully an interview with a bible scholar on-air! stay tuned for that in the abstract future :) I'll be referencing A LOT of random scripture in today's show. if you're interested in learning more about who Judas Iscariot is, the Gnostic Interpretations of him and how little we actually know about the-man-the-myth-the-LEGEND -- check out this podcast on the supposed Last Gospel of Judas. There is SO MUCH about this apparent lost chapter of the bible that I won't even BEGIN to touch on-air but its SO INTERESTING GUYS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3AwvxzYuj0&t=7s&pp=ygUTanVkYXMgaXNjYXJpb3QgYmFydA%3D%3D It's taking me a LOT of mental strength rn to NOT bring up the fact that Jesus and Judas kiss (on the mouth??? like MAKING OUT??) in the 2014 Swedish tour of Jesus Christ Superstar back in 2014. If I even mention it on air, I might be talking for another 30 minutes and NO ONE will be listening to music, so I'm gonna keep those thoughts 2 myself for this afternoon. Perhaps, Jesus and Judas have maybe the most beautiful love story in the bible... and only Andrew Lloyd Webber was brave enough to write about it. oh my god i have to stop myself from writing this paragraph because I WILL be writing an essay and no one will care. okay yeah. thats it. enjoy the broadcast.

i am imagining that hidden place by bjork is used in the context of either jesus or judas saying those words to the other

Great Theme! I often come back to this Bob verse: Through many dark hour I’ve been thinkin’ about this That Jesus Christ Was betrayed by a kiss But I can’t think for you You’ll have to decide Whether Judas Iscariot Had God on his side

I keep my theology to one "test"word: LOVE Logic then points, if God loves us all,S/he loved Judas. He had no choice and suffered greatly. You are giving me a great snowy day! Thanks!✊️💙
