Listening off the 'waves. I like the use of two songs by one artist or group. It's perhaps being done a bit more now. (There might have been a secret rule against it in radioland, unless of course it was a special. Possible???)

Or an unspoken standard. Like the "no dead air" standard...

Thanks for listening Benoit. I agree on the use of 2 songs - it gives you a better taste of the breadth of a release. No secret rule that I’m aware of, but maybe some DJs thought it made them look a bit lazy?

I once (1-2 yrs?) heard another DJ here speculate on whether there was, or had been, such a thing; he was going on about it for several seconds, because he'd decided to do just that, play two shots of the same, in that episode.

A mystery! I’ll have to ask around.

I misspoke- the Rosnes album was “Crossing Paths” not “Crossing Over”!

That,s the nifty ting about humans: we make mistakes, but we're (often) self-correcting. And then sometimes there's the other guy who says "um..." Same thought about that

“Crossing Over” would be a great album title though!
