I was fortunate to see John Hammond Live twice at the Paradise Club here in Ottawa. Thank you Dennis Ruffo. Working in The Paradise Club granted me the chance to see so many artists that I admired I opened my humble little club a few years later in that same room.

'Gimme An F'! The Woodstock version of Country Joe's "Rag" will always and forever be my favourite version, but it was great to hear the original, Mike. [Someone needs to write and record with 'Iran' replacing 'Vietnam'- should be easy] So many great names leaving us. Neil Sedaka added to the list, but doesn't really fit this show. Great In Memoriam show this week.

The Wave was my club. Opening nite included reggae, and rock bands, a cello soloist and Elorious Cain , CKCU DJ between acts. That's how we became friends and I became a CKCU listener for life. My club was not legendary....just a whole lotta fun and scratched my itch to host a club. I was the hotel manager at the time and had a legendary room not being used. It took about a half a minute to decide to open my own club and live a dream.
