Hi there Chris, Great to re-visit some of these tunes from shows gone by! Summer 2025 seems like a long, long time ago!

Hi Shelley, although the tunes were all played last year none were released in that year. We'll be going all over the place date-wise, tonight. (and, unusually, I'm listening on headphones for a change - recommended :-0 )

Strange Advance, Martha and the Muffins—two Canadian classics. I remember them well.

Billy Cobham — CKCU is where I first heard his music for sure. Interesting about Martha working with Peter Gabriel’s Real World organization. More than just Echo Beach!

Shelley, on the internet take a look at Martha's career in music, especially her period in the UK, which includes working with Peter Gabriel's Real World organisation. (* that's Martha Ladly, not her bandmate Martha Johnson)

I’m reading a book called “Last Night A DJ Saved My Life” as recommended by someone at the CKCU 50th Anniversary party. Paul Oakenfold is mentioned several times throughout the book. It’s a long, but very interesting read.
