Today and all week is my birthday week so I’m going to play, what I believe to be one of the best years in music - songs from 1979 - we saw the release of such albums as London Calling, Cool for Cats, Teenage Head’s debut, the Pretenders , Specials and much more…..so we are going to play some songs from those albums….we could easily fill up two hrs of music with songs from great records release ln 1979….but we are starting with a song off of the Squeeze album Cool for Cats, this is Revue…

Thanks Mr. Neil....i still remember where i was the first time i heard Joe Jackson's album Look Sharp.....amazing that he had that those two great records out in the same year...Look Sharp and I'm the Man...

Just incredible wasn't it. And he grew musically at a phenominal rate of speed ! He Was The Man in my music world for a few years. I still love all those recordings everytime a song comes across radio waves. I might do a deep dive on Youtube tonite looking for more live shows that I have not already watched. Thanks again for "memory lane" this evening, Lester !!

Also, for I'm the Man, I remember seeing a small box set of 45's, i think it had a limited release in a 45 singles format. I think i remember seeing it at Super Clef....
