Lesson Hear - Lesson #1: Learning how to build a show around a theme.

Hello CKCU listeners. I'm Vanessa - a grad student studying at Carleton. Since starting my research, I hear everything - from cult hits to pop earworms - a little bit differently. Without going into any in-depth analysis, I have curated a group of songs that could make up a soundtrack for questioning the American dream. These (arguably-antimodernist) songs challenge conformity, consumption, ambition, romantic love, and the idea of progress. As this is my first-time live-on-air, I thank you all for bearing with me through the learning process!
