The program spans electronic, noise, hip hop, hyperpop, ambient, contemporary classical, improvisation, and global club sounds, with artists drawing from Indigenous, Black, and queer cultural traditions. Audiences will encounter everything from live a/v, film, and multimedia production, to participatory performance, immersive installation and collective art-making. The program moves between intimate and ecstatic, analog and digital, traditional and futuristic—centering artists who use their practices to explore identity, land, technology, disability, memory, community, and new forms of cultural expression. Hello Regis. Léandre here, tuned in from Gatineau. You might remember be from 2013 @PCH. It’s been a while, I know. Thank you for sharing a bit about your personal stuff during the intro tonight. I’m sending positive vibes your way. Man, life is difficult and there’s a lot of badness everywhere… It’s hard to keep it together. People are struggling, actually pretty much everyone I know. Lost a few friends who took their lives, too, most recent one two weeks ago (R.I.P. Eric). So, I hope your pause is doing you good and I wish you goodness and kindness and love around you. And thanks for the stranger music tonight. Oh, by the way, my friend CMK and I really liked the episode dedicated to Raphael Weinroth-Browne last week. She even talked about it on her new weekly show on CKCU this morning; it’s called “Seeds for a Dying World”.
