ELECTRONIC MUSIC was a free style of noise and sonic patterns that really had it's heyday in the late 1950's and 1960's. Composer/Artists like WENDY CARLOS, JOHN CAGE and İLHAN MIMAROğLU provided remarkable works that continue to influence many artists for decades on. ROCK artists like THE BEATLES, MUSICA ELETTRONICA VIVA and APHRODITE'S CHILD dabbling in ELECTRONIC MUSIC in the 1960's. In the 1970's various artists in the different genres of DISCO dabbled in ELECTRONIC MUSIC and developed ELECTRONIC DISCO: disco made with pure ELECTRONIC devices. Artists like GIORGIO MORODER, JEAN MICHEL JARRE, KRAFTWERK, YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRA, SPACE and BLACK DEVIL did extremely well with different variations of ELECTRONIC DISCO. ELECTRONIC DISCO inspired new generations of artists in the decades to follow. This show offers some of the original ELECTRONIC MUSIC along with ELECTROACOUSTIC MUSIC, CHILL/AMBIENT MUSIC, TECHNO, DUBSTEP, FOLKTRONICA, JERSEY CLUB, DUB, and a variety of experimental artists with their own ELECTRONIC MUSIC.
