While last weeks show focused on music with a political edge, today's will play to the birds and bees of spring. Love won, love lost, love taken for granted, unrequited love, you name it a singer has sung a song about it. The first album I pulled out while getting this show together was the aptly titled Perfect Angel by Minnie Ripperton. Minnie was a singer who was blessed with a five octave voice and was not scared to use it to full effect while either singing soul on her own self released albums or singing on the Rotary Connection's psych albums. As Minnie's career spanned both the psych and soul realm this show shall too. That being said I did throw in some jazz and some songs more about life than love hoping add another layer to the mix. Happy weekend Friday Drivers, enjoy the springtime weather out there, we earned it this year.
