NOTE: The On Demand version of the show has some additional interview segments that had to be edited from the on air broadcast to fit the 60 minute format for the show. We open today in conversation with Sam Lynch and Haley Blais - two women who released a series of celebrated albums and have now come together to form the duo True Mountain Laurel. We talk about how they got together first as songwriting partners and eventually recorded their debut album. We talk about how they discovered that their voices work beautifully together and how their songwriting partnership works. True Mountain Laurel will be at the National Arts Centre's Fourth Stage on Saturday, September 19th. Bob tells us how he has re-recorded some old songs (like the version of We Got Time featured on the show) and about his upcoming release. Doug tells us about what went into his most recent recordings and how he has enjoyed creating a collection of great country covers and recording his own songs in a pared down acoustic approach. The two are performing together at the Robo Lounge on Saturday, September 19th.
