HOST OF: Radio Camp Live!, The Kids Are Alright

Hello, my name is Mandela Gabay! My life has always revolved around music and other creative projects. I have been playing guitar for most of my life, and I have recently picked up the drums. While I am not playing music, I love working on independent projects like writing and directing short films.

During my time volunteering at CKCU, I have experienced many different aspects of a community radio station. I have been involved in the ‘Off The Shelf’ program, which helps bring recording sessions to schools and communities in Ottawa, and I have been co-hosting the Brookfield Variety Hour show every Tuesday at noon!

Looking ahead, I have lots of plans for keeping music and audio in my life. I am going to Carleton University for International Business, though I intend to stay involved at the station. In all, I am excited to keep learning about what goes into community radio!
