A free session for seniors called 'Extreme Weather And You' will be held on Wednesday, October 7th from 9:30 am to 2 pm at the Rideau Community Hub, 815 St. Laurent Boulevard.
As extreme weather events like wildfire smoke, floods and storms become more frequent, seniors are one of the more vulnerable populations. But you are not powerless! Join us to learn about what services may be available to build resilience in the face of extreme weather events. Lunch will be provided.
Agenda:
9:30 - 10 am - Doors open. Coffee and tea provided.
10 - noon - Panel discussion with experts
Noon - 12:30 pm - Lunch (provided)
12:30 - 1:30 pm - Participatory workshop about an extreme weather event
