The second Latin American Women Entrepreneurs Expo 2014 Saturday, May 3 at 11:00am – 6:00pm (Free Admission) at the Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N4 Ottawa, Ontario, March 6, 2014 – The Second Latin American Women Entrepreneurs Expo organized by the Latin Women Entrepreneurs Network (Red de Mujeres Latinas Emprendedoras de Ottawa- Gatineau or Red-MELOG) will take place in Ottawa on May 3rd, 2014. The purpose of the Expo is to share with Ottawa and Gatineau residents what Latin Women have contributed to the development of the local economy and community. The Expo brings together more than 50 exhibitors, all of whom are Latin American Women living at the National Capital Region. The exhibitors bring a professional background in a large variety of businesses and services including visual artists, financial advisors, photographers, publishers, graphic designers, event planners, jewelry designers, professional consultants, catering and food services people, music and dance performers, health and wellness professionals, kids’ services specialists, real estate agents and more. The Expo will be held on Saturday May 3rd, 2014 from 11 am – 6 pm at the Library and Archives Canada (395 Wellington Street, Ottawa).The admission and parking are free of charge for all visitors. At the end of the event, a Miguel De Armas’ Latin jazz concert will be presented from 7 to 9 pm. This talented Cuban pianist and composer will delight the participants with his amazing quartet. The general admission for the concert is twenty dollars ($20.00). The Red-Melog, founded in February 2012, was officially registered as a nonprofit organization in August 2013. Currently, the organization counts with 115 members and its membership keeps growing.
