That gnawing preoccupation...

Someone close kept having that gnawing preoccupation with the plight of a million or so Syrian people suddenly struggling with no power or running water along with regular bombings. More refugees roam around the world searching for hope than there were following the last world war. If this crowded little planet was a cesspool of human suffering and despair before; then even with all our technology, communication and information access, it seems to be getting worse! We offer a collection of standard Disco songs from the 1970's and 1980's about various places around the world. Except for the Murray Head hit from 1984, they were part of the personal soundtracks of young and somewhat idealistic people who enjoyed the music's multicultural optimism, quietly hoping comparable young people everywhere else were enjoying good safe lives also. The MURRAY HEAD song "ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK" is a brilliant look at the seedier side of the Thai capital: one of the world's major hot spots of the international sex trade. The human garbage that traffic people and force women and children into prostitution are a horrible plague spreading all over the world.
We begin with the peaceful walkways in "LE JARDIN DU LUXEMBOURG" in Paris. JOE DASSIN'S epic is presented in it's entirety:

Thank you Charlicus! Did you know that Joe Dassin was actually American? All the same, he was massive in France.
