Hey chris: Just tuned in.Which festival in Nfld were you referring too. I did a Nfld guitar workshop at OFC a few years ago and made friends with the performer who knows a fellow friend and musician in St John's. Would that have been Jeannie Husson ( spelling?) She was there withe an irish flute player who also did a workshop. Chris, does this ring any bells? Just trying to remember her name. Wonderful singer and so knowledgable about Nfld music. Great workshop!

Hello Chris and Ian! I'll have you know that Felix (3 months) was definitely enjoying being jiggled around to the concertina and fiddle tunes! To Lillian, who just emailed.....that's Jeanne Hewson, and the flute player would be Gerry Strong, most likely. Great stuff, Ian and Chris! (Is that Mary singing harmony to Hard Times?)

Lovely to hear Ian's selections this morning. Ian Robb is certainly a part of Ottawa's musical history, and has a wealth of knowledge of the musicians who have played here. In his role with the Old Sod society he used to bring in fabulous performers from all over.

Listening back to this wonderful show as I'd missed parts of it while I was listening on while on the road yesterday morning--the songs and the stories are so meaningful!
