Friday April 14th, 2017 with Chris White
Jessica Ruano, Rebecca Wolsak, Jack Hui Litster, Gord Garner, Dr. John Weekes

This week's program features words and music associated with two upcoming community-building events. We talk with Jessica Ruano, Rebecca Wolsak and Jack Hui Litster who are connected to a public reading of a documentary play called "Seven". Presented by Inter Pares, the play intertwines stories told by women’s rights activists from seven different countries. The event takes place on Monday evening, April 24 at the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health, 299 Montreal Road. We also talk with Gord Garner and Dr. John Weekes about "Learn, Laugh and Listen" coming up on Saturday, April 29. A fundraiser for Recovery Day Ottawa, the event is designed to help people whose lives are affected negatively by alcohol and other drugs, either directly or indirectly.
