Hey Guys! Ask JP if he's mastered the "flat foot" bass drum technique yet? I thought of him during jam today and tried it myself...what a bitch!!!! Lovin' the show tonight! we'll see them at the cd release!

Hey Angie, try using flat foot for straight 8th notes to get power, then switch up to heel-toe or slide if you're doubling up 16th notes. I can't do flat foot for doubled up notes, so I switch all the time. In the end, you just have to break the habit of playing with your toes if that's what you do. Same muscle but it doesn't get tired as fast if you play flat.
