Song Writing Contest for the Canadian Cancer Society

The Ottawa Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society is excited to launch a city wide Student Theme Song Writing Contest today to promote wellness and community engagement. The contest is open to students of all ages enrolled academically in the City of Ottawa for the spring 2012 semester. All Ottawa students are eligible to submit an Mp3 on CD. Submissions are due by midnight on Monday, April 30 2012. The selected music will be released and performed live at a gala event on May 24 at Lago, Dow’s Lake. The song will be produced by local producer/musician Ken Kanwisher of Teletune Studios with local musicians, uploaded onto ITunes for fundraising; and used for promotional efforts to support Canadian Cancer Society programs in Ottawa.
