The School of Music is pleased to present the University of Ottawa Opera Company stage production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s The Medium with music and stage direction by Sandra Graham. Four performances of the opera will be presented in Freiman Hall of the Pérez Building (610 Cumberland Street) at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14 (Note time change from previously advertised start times of 1:00 and 7:00 p.m.). The opera will be performed in English and will feature full sets and costumes, and piano accompaniment by Master of Music performance student Katrina Pak. The cast, all currently students in the School of Music, is as follows: Sophie Bertrand and Monica Botelho (Monica, daughter of Madame Flora), Sonya Sweeney (Madame Flora), Rachael Jewell (Mrs. Gobineau), Christian Paquette (Mr. Gobineau), Allison Jackson (Mrs. Nolan), and Trent Richardson (Toby, a mute). | ||||||
